On 7th November 2023, PREVAC-UP consortium held its 4th Annual Meeting, in Paris, France. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the EDCTP Congress, which was attended by a large number of our partners. Dr. Debora Bade, Project Officer, and Sayma Siddiqui, Grants Finance Officer, represented EDCTP at the meeting. Members of the Scientific and Ethics Board also attended the meeting and presented valuable insights and feedbacks to consortium partners.
Besides discussing project’s sustainability, the meeting focused on presenting Luminex, the chosen technique for measuring antibody levels in patient’s samples. The first findings from the retention sub-study were presented and the WP4 team, focused on creating mathematical models that forecast vaccine responses using extensive omics and epidemiology data, is anticipating a publication in early 2024.
